Google Ranking Updates Added To Google Search Status Dashboard

Google has once again updated the relatively new documentation around Site Names in Google Search, this time to clarify that www and m-dot prefixes for domain names are generally considered root domain names for Site Names in Google Search.

On June 14th we reported on a Google Search ranking algorithm update and since then the Google search results have not stopped with its larger than normal volatility. It is like they put the pot of water on the stove and never turned it off, at least not for the past several days now.

Google Business Profiles seems to have added more options to when you should be notified from the platform. The list includes 13 different notification categories you can turn on or off under the notifications menu for your Google Business Profile.

The other day we reported how Google will be releasing an update to the helpful content system that can identify “hidden gems” deep within the web and promote that in the Google Search results.
